Woody & Rosemary Woodbury have put together another road trip for us. This time it's to the Lakeridge Winery Vineyards in Clermont, Fl.

The date for the event is Sunday Oct. 11th. We'll meet in the McDonald's parking lot on the corner of US Hwy 41 & SR 54 at 9:45-10:00. The departure time will be at 10:15. (Note: this is were the club meets for the Dade City drives). Drive time is approximately 2 hrs.

MYSTERY TRAIN RIDE AND DINNER

Kathy and Mike Lloyd have organized a "Murder Mystery Dinner" for Saturday, November 7th, 2009 in Fort Myers FL.

Join the fun as a comical mystery unravels before your eyes. It is up to you to decide just who the killer is and why they would do such a dastardly deed. Make sure to write down all the clues you discover. Clue sheets will be collected before the final act, when everyone will discover why the perfect murder just can’t be pulled off… or can it? A prize will be awarded to the one super sleuth in each dining car.

The Fall Escape package is $209.88 per couple. That includes the 4hr train trip, 5 course dinner, the show and 1 night stay at the Courtyard Marriott with a hot breakfast buffet in the morning.

When you call to make your reservations, mention you want to be seated with the Lloyd party. If you are thinking of going we encourage you to make reservations as soon as possible as this event will sell out quickly.

25 early risers joined together for breakfast and a drive on Saturday, September 12th. The day was a bit drizzly with some hard rain. Some were skeptical the event would even occur but hey........ it wasn't SNOW and the leaders never once considered canceling the event. Rain in Florida is just a free car wash!

Following the breakfast, we drove through Clearwater, Island Way, Clearwater Beach - North and South, on the Dunedin Causeway, through Ozona and ended at a local favorite, Strachan's Homemade Ice Cream.

Although Strachan's doesn't officially open until 12:00 AM, when we were seen driving into the parking lot, the wonderful manager, Donna, and her crew graciously served us at 11:00! Now that's a REAL treat!
